JAMMU, Nov 27: St. Xavier Convent Sr. Sec. School, Barnai, in collaboration with the J&K Anti-Narcotics Task Force, organized an impactful Anti-Drug Awareness Drive titled 'Say No to Drugs.' The event aimed to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse and inspire them to lead a drug-free life.
SSP Narcotics Raj Kumar delivered a compelling keynote address, sharing real-life examples of the consequences of drug abuse, followed by a Q&A session to guide students on resisting peer pressure. Students performed a powerful skit depicting the social harm caused by drugs, leaving the audience deeply moved. Speeches by SP Rural Brijesh Sharma, DSP Domana Mudassir Hussain, and DSP Narcotics Gillani highlighted the rising drug abuse in Jammu & Kashmir and the measures to counter it. A short film on the harsh realities of addiction further reinforced the campaign's message.
The event concluded with a student rally promoting a drug-free society, embodying the campaign's spirit of collective responsibility. The school management hopes this initiative will inspire lasting change in the fight against drug abuse. |
