Crackdown on Illegal Mining: 6 Vehicles Seized by Reasi Police

REASI, Nov 27: In a robust action against illegal mining, Reasi Police seized six vehicles involved in unlawful mining activities during surprise inspections across the district. The crackdown is part of the police's commitment to enforcing the law and protecting public resources from exploitation. The seized vehicles and their drivers are:
Mohd. Jaffer (Chitta Bas, Tehsil Mahore) - Tractor No. JK20A-2196
Nisar Ahmed (Dewal, Tehsil Mahore) - Tractor No. JK20A-8658
Altaf Hussain (Dewal, Tehsil Mahore) - Tractor No. JK20B-5201
Mohd. Yonus (Seela, Reasi) - Tractor No. JK20C-5228
Ishfaq Ahmed (Dasanoo, Reasi) - Tractor No. JK20C-0968
Qamer Din (Sunderbani, District Rajouri) - Dumper No. JK20B-9058
The drivers were apprehended, and the concerned Mining Officer was notified to initiate legal proceedings against them. The operation, led by SHO Reasi and supervised by DySP HQs Reasi, reflects the police's zero-tolerance stance on illegal mining. SSP Reasi Paramvir Singh assured the public of continued efforts to eradicate illegal mining, safeguard natural resources, and enforce the law. The police also encouraged residents to report illegal mining activities to support the preservation of the environment and public property.
