11/27/2024 11:34:59 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 27: EPFO Jammu organized the Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 awareness program at the Conference Hall, DC Office Samba, aimed at sensitizing employers and employees about social security provisions and EPFO schemes. The program, held at 10:30 AM, focused on topics such as UAN Activation Process and Filing Online Claims to increase awareness and participation.
EPFO's P.F. Commissioner Shri Rizwan Uddin addressed the gathering, highlighting the need to enroll employees and take action against defaulting establishments, especially in industries like fabrication, food, plastic, and minerals. He emphasized avoiding multiple claims under the Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (1976).
Ms. Himani Jerath, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Samba, and other key EPFO officials, including Sh. Satya Prakash (Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner) and Sh. Devinder Singh (Enforcement Officer), provided hands-on support for workers and employers. The program also covered important initiatives like the Employment Linked Incentive Scheme (ELI), e-Nomination, and updating KYC in UAN.
A special Pension Help Desk was set up to address pension-related grievances, and grievances related to member profile updates and death cases were registered during the event. The session emphasized the importance of UAN activation, bank & Aadhaar seeding, and online claim filing to simplify the process for employees and employers.
EPFO Jammu also appealed to all industries to extend social security benefits to eligible employees from their first day of joining and encouraged active participation in social security schemes like Employees' Pension Scheme (1995) and Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (1976).
The program also provided an opportunity for stakeholders to offer feedback and suggestions, ensuring a stronger outreach and grievance redressal mechanism for better engagement with EPFO services.
