Lawrence School students in their annual day appeal to citizens, Save Tawi Save Jammu

Jammu, Nov 28: Lawrence Public School students presented an opera on Surya Putri Tawi with the theme, Save Tawi Save Jammu on its annual day celebrations at Gen. Zorawar Singh Auditorium. The program started with Suryaputri Tawi Arti followed by rich tributes to Founder Principal Mrs. Shakuntla Joshi & Devender Singh Rana. The school Chairman Wg Cdr M. M. Joshi in his welcome address announced the Jammu Gaurav Samman for socially responsible citizens for their tireless contributions towards the society. The students of the school enthralled the audience with their spell bound artistic performances.
The students show cased the journey of the river Tawi from its origin to Jammu, highlighting the diverse cultural heritage of the areas it passes through.
Tbe Chief Guest on this occasion was Padma Bhushan Ghulam Nabi Azad honoured prominent religious leaders from all religions along with various heads of social organisations.
