| Security being reviewed for Azad, Mufti, Abdullahs | | | Jammu , April 02: Security was being reviewed for protection of Congressleader Gulam Nabi Azad, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti and Farooq Abdullah, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on Thursday. The review comes in the backdrop of the Centre writing to all states to ensure tight security for nearly 40 VIPs and asking these leaders not to conduct any surprise visits during the electioneering. Mr. Omar Abdullah said he was one of the recipients of Union Home Minister's letter on the nature of threat and security requirements. "Security was being reviewed for protection of high profile personalities like former chief ministers Ghulam Nabi Azad and Farooq Abdullah. Besides, it was also reviewed for important political leaders like Mehbooba Mufti," he said, adding that such reviews take place from time to time. On the threat to his life, Mr. Abdullah said it did not worry him. "It does not worry or disturb me. The survival of a political worker is in mingling with the people and I am doing it". "The greatest protection is in the hands of the almighty... and no terrorists can do anything in that," Mr.Abdullah, the youngest chief minister of the state, said.
