DDC reviews progress of Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojana

POONCH, Nov 30: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal today reviewed the Physical and Financial progress achieved under the Pradhan Mantri Adi Adarsh Gram Yojna (PMAAGY) here at a meeting held in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex.
The meeting focused on progress of ongoing development initiatives under PMAAGY and exploring potential enhancements to better support the uplift of local Tribal communities.
The PMAAGY aims to transform villages with a significant tribal population into model villages. It further envisages achieving integrated socio-economic development of selected villages through the convergence approach. As the discussion ensued, the DDC reviewed the ongoing developmental works of different departments like road connectivity, school building construction, Agriculture works, health infrastructure, Jal Jeevan, drainage, Electricity, Solar Energy and solid waste management etc. covered under the yojana.
Emphasis was laid on the importance of such initiatives and the officers were urged to utilize funds effectively, ensuring maximum benefit to the tribal communities. The meeting was attended by SE PWD Circle Poonch, ACD, CAO, CEO, XEN PWD Division Poonch/Surankot/Mendhar, XEN Jal Shakti, XEN REW, XEN Ground water, XEN JPDCL, BDO Poonch/ NSSB/Lassana/ Surankote/Balakote/Mendhar and others.
