JE commits suicide, couple sustains burn injuries

Jammu, April 03 : A Junior Engineer (JE) commits suicide by immolated himself at his residence in Pata Paloura this morning, while a couple was admitted in GMC with burn injuries they sustain at their rented room in Dogra Hall are of the city.
The junior Engineer was brought to GMC during the previous night as a case of suicide, sources told NAK, adding he died at 4 am in the morning.
He has been identified as Bal Krishan Sharma, 35 son of Dina Nath resident of Pata Paloura Priyadarshi Lane according to family friends was undergoing some problem since last few days.
Police said the body has been shifted to the Government Medical College’s mortuary for postmortem and after conducting autopsy of the body it was handed over to the family member for last rites.
Police has registered case in the concerned police station and started investigations to ascertain the circmstances whcich forced the JE to self immolate himself.
“We are collecting the back ground details of the deceased to ascertain the cause which forced him to commit suicide” a police officer said.
Meanwhile, a couple sustained burn injuries inside their rented room at Dogra hall Jammu this morning. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, police said.
The couple has been identified as Tariq Ahmed son of Abdul Haq and his wife Rishfa resident of Kishtwar at present Dogra Hall Jammu.
Sources said that the couple sustained burnt injuries in an accidental fire which probably broke out due to stove burst at their rented room.
However, that the couple had some domestic problem and were quarreling every day.
Police smells rat and said both of them were not present in the said rented house when they rushed to the spot as they were taken to GMC for treatment.
Both husband and wife are under going treatment in the GMC’s burn ward and doctors attending them term their condition as critical.
Police have taken cognizance and registered case in this regard
