| PDP intensifies campaign in favour of Bajwa | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 3- Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today stepped up election campaign in favour of party candidate Trilok Singh Bajwa. A series of public meetings were organized in different parts of Jammu district to garner support for PDP candidate. Party vice-president, Ved Mahajan, newly elected MLC Sayed Asgar Ali, district presidents Baldev Slathia and R K Bali, Rashid Malik, Surjeet Kour and others addressed these meetings. . Addressing a meeting at Jammu Ved Mahajan said that PDP would play role of effective opposition in the legislative assembly to control the ruling coalition from taking any anti-people step. He said that being the principal opposition party, PDP members would strongly raise issues relating to the common masses. He said that only PDP can solve problems of all regions and sub-regions of the State. He further said that being a biggest regional force in the State PDPO would effectively shoulder this responsibility to fulfill wishes and aspirations of the people. Sayeed Asgar Ali said that fulfilling aspirations and wishes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir is the first and foremost priority of the PDP and party members would not be hesitated to any steps to check the government from taking any anti-people step. Cautioning people against those vested interests who have launched a vicious campaign against the party, Baldev Slathia reminded the people that it was only during the regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that many developmental projects were started
