Jammu, Dec 1: Sunny Nanda and Renu Nanda have been selected to represent India in the Open International Raffa Boules Coaching Camp and Training Seminar 2025, which will take place in Melbourne, Australia, from January 2 to January 5, 2025. The prestigious event, organized by the Asian Oceania Bowls Confederation, will mark the first time an Indian team participates in the Open Raffa Boules Event.
To celebrate this milestone, the REFFA Boules India Federation held a special ceremony, where both Sunny and Renu Nanda were formally recognized for their selection. The duo will train under the guidance of Mr. Antonio Biancacci, Vice President of Bocce Australia, to hone their skills and compete at the international level.
The entire expenditure for their participation, including entry fees and travel expenses, will be fully sponsored by the J&K Sports Speed Ball Association. During the ceremony, Pooja Malhotra, the founder-patron of the J&K Sports Speed Ball Association, as well as the founder of Maven Vibes and a prominent author and youth leadership coach, expressed her best wishes for the team.
She congratulated the Nandas and highlighted the significance of their participation, stating that their achievement would not only bring glory to Jammu and Kashmir but also inspire youth across the country to pursue sports with passion and dedication.
This selection marks a significant achievement for the sport of Raffa Boules in India and is expected to further encourage the growth of the sport in the region. |
