| Teach NC-Congress a lesson for befooling people: PDP | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 3- Former Minister and senior leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Sardar Rangil Singh today asked the people to teach a lesson to the ruling National Conference and Congress in the coming Lok Sabha for betraying the masses. Addressing a series of public meetings at Nanak Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Preet Nagar, Simbal Camp, Miran Sahib and Digiana in support of party candidate Trilok Singh Bajwa, Rangil Singh lambasted Congress-NC coalition for not fulfilling the promises which were made during the Assembly elections. He recalled that National Conference leaders had promised to give stipend to the educated unemployed youth of the State during the election campaign. He, however, regretted that even after three months of the formation of this coalition nothing concrete has been done so far to fulfill this promise. He said that during the last three months this coalition has done nothing for the welfare of the common masses. He termed the new government as total failure and regretted that this dispensation was not serious in solving day today problems of the people. Former Minister and senior leader Manjit Singh, while speaking in these meetings, urged the people to cast their votes in favour of PDP candidate. He said that it was need of the hour to strengthen PDP as the State of Jammu and Kashmir has been passing through a crucial juncture. Launching a scathing attack on National Conference, he reminded the people that this party had promised to recruit 8th pass students in the police but after attaining power ruling coalition has maintained a criminal silence over this demand. He termed Congress-NC alliance as anti-farmer adding that the dispensation has failed to solve problems of the farming community. A.K. Sawhney Convenor campaign committee, H. R. Cahrgotra, Surjeet Kour, Ch.Chuni Lal, B. D. Gorkha, Rashpal Balaoria, Baldev Pappa, Sankokh Singh, Jasbir Pah, Harmmet Singh, Rafiq Choudhary and Ashok Bhat also addressed these meetings.
