Stephens Group celebrates annual day

Jammu, Dec 1 : It was surely a fiesta to remember at Stephens Group of Institutions, Miran Sahib, Jammu during the celebration of the Annual Day – ‘Itihaas Ke Panne’ cum Annul Fest- Kaleidoscope 4.0.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Sh. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Prof. Gharu Ram Bhagat, MLA of Suchetgarh Constituency; Mr. Shiv Kumar, DIG of Jammu, Samba, and Kathua Range; Mrs. Vidya Mottan, DDC Block Miran Sahib; Mr. Nikhil Gogna, SDPO RS Pura; Mr. Narinder Singh, Senior Accounts Officer, Department of Housing and Urban Development; and Mr. T.R. Tagotra, Former Special Secretary. The occasion was further elevated by the presence of the Chairman, Dr. Kamal Saini, IGP (Retd.); Director, Mrs. Satvinder Saini; Trustee, Adv. Kunal Saini; Principal, Dr. Manjari Sehgal; and Headmistress, Mrs. Khushboo Shaminotra.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana to invoke the blessings of the Goddess. Chairman Dr Kamal Saini IGP (Retd.) in his welcome address emphasized on the importance of quality education, while acclaiming the skilful educators of Stephens Group of Institutions.
Annual report of the session was read by the Principal. She congratulated all the stakeholders as the school has earned various accolades in recognition for imparting inclusive education and upliftment of the border areas of Jammu. Most recent award being the prestigious ‘Breaking Barriers for Girls’ Education Award’ during the Indo - UK Global Business and Conclave Awards held at House of Commons, London.
Itihaas Ke Panne, orchestrated to glorify our rich history, in the form of dance extravaganza and musical play left the audience spellbound. The hard work & toil of the Art & Craft Department was well reflected vividly through the 3D props displayed on stage. The meritorious students and outstanding achievers were awarded during the ceremony.
Sh. Jugal Kishore Sharma, in his address, blessed the star performers with his words of inspiration. He appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers of Stephens Group of Institutions for excellent academic results. Commending the developing infrastructure Mr Sharma accentuated that Stephens continues to spread the light of education in this suburban vicinity.
The programme culminated with the vote of thanks by the Trustee, Adv. Kunal Saini. Later the fest was declared open by the Chief Guest. Various stalls, joy rides and delicacies were enjoyed by one and all. A free medical camp was also held by Stephens College of Nursing, Stephens Institute of Paramedical Sciences and Stephens College of Pharmacy wherein various tests were available for the public. The boundless joy was amply visible on the faces of the children especially when they enjoyed various rides and devoured a variety of delicacies. The students and their parents appreciated the efforts of the institution in making the day memorable.
