| Madan intensifies campaign, seeks voters support | | |
Jammu, Apr 03-Intensifying his election campaign Madan Lal Sharma-MP and contesting candidate of Congress party from Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency addressed series of public meetings at JDA Park Janipur, Mathua, Rehari, Talab Tillo and several other places today.
While addressing these gatherings, Sharma highlighted the achievements of the previous coalition government. He said that the development took place in every sphere like health, agriculture, education etc. Referring the period of Ghulam Nabi Azad, he said, a number of steps were taken in different directions for the welfare of the people and massive development has taken place during this short span due to record financial assistance by the Congress led UPA government.
In response to the vicious campaign launched by the BJP on the basis of religion, caste and region, he urged the people to be vigilant against designs of the opposition and make all our efforts to defeat them.
He appealed the people to vote in favour of the Congress party for the over all development of the country and strengthen the bonds of unity and integrity of the nation. The forces of communalism are posing threat to the social and secular fiber of our Country. The visionary leadership of Congress, led by Sonia Gandhi and Dr. Manmohan Singh, requires a fresh mandate to take the nation forward and for ensuring the continuance of ongoing process of massive development in the state of J&K, he added.
