CME on Glaucoma awareness held at ASCOMS

JAMMU, Dec 2: The Postgraduate Department of Ophthalmology at ASCOMS & Hospital, Sidhra, Jammu, in collaboration with the Glaucoma Society of India, organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on Glaucoma - Core Concepts on November 30, 2024. The event, held in the college auditorium, aimed to raise awareness about glaucoma, often referred to as the "sneak thief of vision."
The CME featured prominent speakers, including:
Dr. Dewang Angmo, Additional Professor, AIIMS, New Delhi
Dr. Parul Icchpurjani, Professor, GMC, Chandigarh
Dr. Shristi Raj, Professor, PGI, Chandigarh
Lt. Col. Dr. Menakshi Pathania, HOD Ophthalmology, Military Hospital, Satwari, Jammu
Dr. Renu Hashia Dhar, Professor & Head, Department of Ophthalmology, ASCOMS & Hospital
These experts delivered insightful talks on the diagnosis and management of glaucoma.
Dr. Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, ASCOMS & Hospital, served as the Chief Guest. He highlighted the importance of glaucoma awareness and lauded the efforts of the organizing committee, led by Dr. Renu Hashia Dhar, for their dedication in hosting this significant event.
