EPFO Jammu recognizes top employees, distributes pension payment orders

JAMMU, Dec 2: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Jammu, has made significant strides in its commitment to ensuring timely pension settlements and recognizing outstanding contributions by its employees.
In a notable recognition, Sanjeev Kumar, Senior Social Security Assistant (Sr. SSA), was honored at the national level as the Best Employee in the Service Category. Kumar, known for his exceptional performance, processed 903 claims in a single day on March 25, 2024, followed by 918 claims on August 26, 2024, and a remarkable 1,124 claims on September 16, 2024. His efforts have not only set a new benchmark for his colleagues but also served as a motivational force, improving daily performances across the department.
Ashwani Gaind, Programmer, and Shri T. Shiva Murthy, Administrative Officer, were also acknowledged for their contributions, with Gaind praised for his multitasking skills and Murthy for his high settlement performance at the supervisory level.
Rizwan Uddin, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (RPFC), Jammu, commended the proactive roles of these officials, emphasizing that their teamwork not only creates positive energy but also provides timely relief to subscribers seeking advances and settlements. Uddin further highlighted the importance of pension as a form of social security for employees and their families during times of need and eventualities.
During the event, Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) were distributed to several pensioners by Shri Rizwan Uddin, with notable disbursements to individuals such as Mr. Prem Singh (Rs 139,053), Mr. Jagdev Singh (Rs 76,795), Mr. Joginder Kumar (Rs 37,037), Smt. Rajinder Kour (Rs 168,355), Sukhvinder Kour (Rs 17,642), and Mr. Manohar Lal Sharma (Rs 263,595).
The EPFO Jammu team, led by Shri Rizwan Uddin and supported by Shri Ajit Kumar Mishra (RPFC-II), Shri Satya Prakash (APFC), and Shri Pranav Gupta (ASO), has been working diligently to ensure smooth processing of pension and death claims, particularly focusing on providing support to family members of deceased employees.
The pensioners who visited the EPFO office expressed their gratitude for the timely disbursement of their pensions and arrears for November 2024. With the provision of monthly pensions available to EPS members with over ten years of service, and to their families in case of unfortunate demise, EPFO Jammu continues to play a crucial role in providing social security benefits in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
