Javed Rana meets several deputations

SRINAGAR, Dec 3: Several deputations today called on Minister of Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmad Rana, at Civil Secretariat here and raised several demands and grievances.
The deputations projected the issues of public importance concerning their respective localities and sought intervention of the Minister in redressal of the same. A delegation from Nagrota block led by former Minister, Yogesh Sawhney, highlighted the issues of water shortage and poor road connectivity in their areas saying that the condition of roads is dilapidated causing inconvenience to the commuters.
Another delegation of Engineers who were engaged under the erstwhile ‘Self Help Group of Engineers Scheme’ (SHGES) demanded restoration of the scheme.
They said that the scheme was an alternative to regular employment for unemployed engineering graduates in the region and the same be restored to ease their living.
Similarly, other delegations and individuals also called on the Minister and raised several issues pertaining to their areas. Rana gave a patient hearing to all of them and assured that the projected issues will be taken up at the appropriate level for early redressal.
