JAMMU, Dec 3: In a major breakthrough, Jammu Police arrested Ramesh Kumar, an absconder wanted in connection with an FIR No. 108/2016 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act. The case was registered at Police Station Satwari, and the accused had been evading arrest since 2019. A team from PS Satwari, led by the SHO and operating under the supervision of SDPO City South and SP City South, successfully apprehended the absconder. Ramesh Kumar, son of Bachan Lal and a resident of Bala Chak, RS Pura, had been on the run for five years. The absconder will be presented in court, and the arrest warrant issued under Section 299 of the CrPC will be executed. This arrest is part of Jammu Police's ongoing crackdown on absconders. |
