KATHUA, Dec 6: In an engaging friendly cricket match, Kathua Media 11 defeated Kathua Warriors by 23 runs at the Government Degree College grounds in Kathua. The match, aimed at fostering camaraderie between journalists and social activists, saw spirited performances from both teams.
Batting first, Kathua Media 11 set a formidable target with a strong finish. Despite a determined chase, Kathua Warriors fell short due to disciplined bowling by Media 11.
The event was graced by Dr. Nirmal Singh, former Deputy Chief Minister, who felicitated the winners with a trophy. "Such events foster unity and sportsmanship, bringing diverse groups together for a common cause," he remarked.
Manuj Kesar, Chairman of Kathua Press Club, also praised the players, highlighting the collaboration between the media and other societal groups.
