| Coalition CC meeting tomorrow to finalize seat sharing | | | Early Times Report Srinagar: To settle the sharing of seats for the four LoK Sabha segments from Kashmir region including Leh, the Coordination Committee of Congress and National Conference is meeting Saturday to decide over the issue. Sources told Press Bureau of India that no consensus has been reached over the sharing of seats for the ensuing Lok Sabha polls. If sources are to be believed, congress wants to contest two of the seats including from south Kashmir and Leh. After the first meeting of the coalition coordination comprising of three members each from Congress and National conference, it was decided to have a root level assessment of the segments by the respective parties individually before reaching to any agreement. Sources told PBI that coordination members— Saifudin Soz, deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, Mangat Ram Sharma and NC president Farooq Abdullah, Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather and Muhammad Shafi Uri are meeting tomorrow at Gupkar residence of Farooq Abdullah to finalize the issue. The ruling partners have already contested Rajya Sabha polls jointly and won all the four Rajya Sabha seats along with 11 seats for the Upper house and won nine out of it. The partners have already fielded two congressmen from two Jammu seats. Pertinently, the ruling partners have already agreed over polls to by-election for three seats which are being held along with the Lok Sabha elections. By-election in Bhaderwah Assembly segment will be held on April 23 while by-poll in two Assembly segments of Kashmir region—Hazratbal and Sonawar—will be held on May 7, sources said. Polling in Jammu Parliamentary constituency will be held on April 16 in the first phase. March 23 is the date of issuance of Notification, March 30 last date for making nominations, March 31 date of scrutiny of nominations and April 2 is the last date of withdrawal of nomination papers
