Kavinder slams Iltija Mufti, calls Mufti Family real ‘Disease’ for J&K, Nation
12/8/2024 9:41:27 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 8 : In a strongly worded statement, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta lambasted Iltija Mufti, daughter of Mehbooba Mufti, for her controversial remark against Hindutva. He termed the statement not only baseless but also reflective of the Mufti family’s consistent attempts to polarize and destabilize Jammu and Kashmir.
“The ‘Mufti Family’ is the biggest disease afflicting Jammu and Kashmir and the nation. Their divisive and venomous rhetoric has caused untold harm to the unity and integrity of the region. It would be wise for them to refrain from making such irresponsible statements against Hindutva, which represents India’s inclusive and cultural ethos,” he asserted in a statement issued here today.
Kavinder went further, advising Iltija Mufti to seek professional mental health assistance.
“She should consult a psychiatrist and get herself tested. If she finds Hinduism or Hindutva to be a disease, the logical step for her would be to stay away from it entirely, instead of engaging in petty, attention-seeking theatrics,” he remarked.
Drawing a connection between her statement and her lineage, Kavinder said, “She is the daughter of Mehbooba Mufti, and her remarks are consistent with the Mufti family’s history of playing politics of hatred and appeasement.
Such individuals do not deserve serious discussion or consideration. They thrive on controversy and divisiveness, which have been their hallmark for decades.”
The senior BJP leader reminded Iltija and the PDP leadership that Hindutva, rooted in Hinduism, is a symbol of tolerance, unity, and cultural pride.
“This ideology has held the nation together for centuries. Calling it a disease is not just an insult to a community but to the spirit of India itself,” he said.
Kavinder asserted that the PDP has been severely rejected by the people of the Kashmir Valley in the recent Assembly elections, as their divisive politics and lack of vision have left them irrelevant.
“”Iltija Mufti is now desperately searching for political space, as her party has lost all relevance as nobody wants PDP even in Kashmir anymore. Iltija Mufti’s remarks are nothing but a desperate attempt to garner sympathy from the Kashmiri people, but they have rejected Mufti family’s politics of opportunism and deceit,” he asserted.
The former deputy Chief Minister also called upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir to reject such rhetoric and continue supporting the development-oriented agenda of the BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “The days of dynastic politics and hate-mongering are over. The people of J&K have embraced progress, peace, and harmony, leaving behind the Mufti family’s toxic legacy,” he added.
