| Lila Karan accuses ruling alliance, PDP of hoodwinking common people | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 4- BJP candidate from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha constituency Lila Karan Sharma has said that the sitting Congress MP has miserably failed to implement promises made to people. He said the Congress candidate was making tall claims in the name of development while the promises made during his earlier elections are yet to be fulfilled. Addressing workers meeting at Muthi, Lila Karan alleged that Congress leader is trying to befool the people of Jammu once again. He accused the UPA government at the centre and ruling Congress, NC and previous PDP Government of hoodwinking the common people by making false promises, which were never fulfilled. He exhorted the people not to fall prey to the mollification of these parties and do not trust the promises made by them again. Instead the people should give a chance to the BJP to form the government at the Centre, so that their problems could be solved and the entire state brought on developmental map of the country. Citing an example, the BJP leader said "Congress candidates claimed he has brought massive development in his parliamentary constituency in last five years but I must tell him that he (sitting Congress MP) talked about development which revealed from the fact that he did nothing to improve the infrastructural facilities in Muthi where he is residing". He said Congress candidate has nothing to show to the people as to what he has done for the people barring false promises and hollow slogans. While highlighting various problems faced by the people, he said that it is high time for people to realize their plight and defeat such people who have been exploiting the people for their petty political gains. He however promised that he will work for the overall development of the constituency and for the welfare and well-being of the people of the constituency, who remained neglected in the past. Among other, BJP MLA Bharat Bushan Bodhi, State Secretary Yudhvir Sethi, District President Col. Uttam Singh and Mukesh Sharma also address the meeting.
