MLA Sham Lal Sharma inaugurates 9th Blood Donation Camp by Trikuta Group of Colleges

JAMMU, Dec 9: The Trikuta Group of Colleges, Jammu, organized its 9th Blood Donation Camp to pay tribute to the memory of its Founder Chairman, Late Dr. Roop Lal Sharma, on his birth anniversary.
The camp was inaugurated by Sham Lal Sharma, MLA of Jammu North Assembly Constituency, whose presence added significance to the event. In his inspiring address, Sham Lal Sharma highlighted the importance of selfless service, lauded the efforts of Trikuta Group of Colleges and Shri Sain Charitable Trust in supporting humanitarian causes, and urged the youth to actively participate in blood donation drives. He also remembered the immense contributions of Late Dr. Roop Lal Sharma Ji and his vision to promote social welfare.
The event saw active participation, with 80 volunteers, including teaching and non-teaching staff, students, post-graduate scholars, and interns, donating blood in a noble gesture to save lives.
Suman Sharma, Chairperson of Sain Charitable Trust, emphasized the significance of voluntary blood donation and reiterated the Trust's commitment to promoting health and social initiatives. She appreciated the efforts of students and staff for their active involvement in the camp.
The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Ritesh Sharma and Ravish Sharma, Managing Directors of the Trust, as well as the Principals of affiliated colleges. Dr. Nitin Mahajan, Japna Sharma, and Jasudha Sharma, CEOs of the Trust, extended their support and commitment to the noble cause.
This blood donation camp was organized in collaboration with the Jammu Blood Centre (Greater Kailash), Blood Bank - BEE ENN General Hospital Jammu, and Jammu Blood Donors and Welfare Society (NGO). Their support and contributions added value to this successful social initiative.
