| SI Police Post GMC granted 5 days police remand | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 4- Special Judge Anticorruption, Jammu, BL Bhat today granted five days police remand of accused Dwarka Nath Incharge Sib Inspector Police Post Government Medical College Jammu, who was caught red-handed by the Vigilance Organization Jammu while accepting bribe from the Parking contractor of GMC. The accused was produced in the Court in custody by the VOJ for remand of accused. Court while granting five days remand observed that it appears that the accused serving as Sub Inspector Incharge Police Post GMC Jammu was nabbed by a Trap Team of VOJ in a case registered under FIR 8/2009 on the complaint of one Ashwani Kumar Manager of contractor Pradeep Mahendru who was managing the parking contract in GMC Jammu. Allegedly accused had accepted Rs 2500 from the complainant previously and was demanding bribe on monthly basis. The tainted money was reportedly recovered from the accused. The Investigation is in progress and accused having been caught red-handed is presently in police custody and is required to be interrogated regarding his role in similar acts of commission during his service career. Upon this court granted five days remand of accused to VOJ. JNF
