| SAI organises FIT India event in SP Smart | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 10: Under the ongoing FIT India initiative of the Government of India, Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, The Jammu Centre of Sports Authority of India organized an awareness program in the SP Smart School Sidhra in which students, staff and management participated with enthusiasm and fervor.
A detailed demonstration of different forms of Wushu was made by the SAI trainees under the guidance of Sonu Haldwani, Assistant SAI Coach, who also demonstrated several self defence techniques to the students.
Students and the staff were also administered Oath of Fitness by the Vice Principal Sh. Pawan Singh.
Aman Sharma, High Performance Director and Incharge STC Jammu explained the importance of FIT india initiative and called upon the students to be Ambassadors of the FIT India mission. He thanked the School Management for organising the event in highly graceful manner and assured any support from the STC Jammu for their sporting endeavours.
Shilpa Gupta, Managing Director and Trustee of SP Smart schools appreciated the role of SAI in organising such event and assured support of her organisation to SAI in organising such events in future.
The event was graced by SP Singh, former National Gymnastics Coach and Manager J&K Sports Council.
Pertinently, FIT India mission is being observed all across the country from November 15 to December 31st to sensitize the masses towards building up a healthy, disease free India. |
