Doda, Dec 12: Doda Police have successfully recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused involved in the crime. The breakthrough came after a kidnapping complaint was lodged at Police Station (PS) Bhaderwah.
On December 9, 2024, Bashir Ahmed of Bhaderwah reported the kidnapping of his daughter (name withheld) from the Chinote area of Bhaderwah. Upon receiving the complaint, an FIR (No. 178/2024) under Section 137(2) BNS was immediately registered, and a team was formed to investigate the case. Police acted swiftly, activating their sources and raiding suspected locations. Leveraging human intelligence and technical assistance, the team led by SHO PS Bhaderwah and SDPO Bhaderwah, under the supervision of SSP Doda Sh. Sandeep Mehta-JKPS, located the kidnapped girl in the Ram Nagar area of Udhampur district. The accused, identified as Naresh Kumar, son of Hans Raj from Sira, Pattan Garh, Udhampur, was arrested at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities continuing to probe further into the case. Doda Police have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to ensure the safety and security of the community. |
