Birla Open Minds International School Jammu celebrates Annual Day 'Anurakt'

JAMMU, Dec 12: Birla Open Minds International School, Jammu, hosted its grand annual day, Anurakt: Together is a beautiful place to be, with great pomp and enthusiasm. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Surinder Choudhary ,Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, as the Chief Guest. The school's Chairpersonand other distinguished members of the management also added to the event's grandeur.
Students of classes Nursery to VI were a part of this grand annual day programme. More than 1000 people attended the event. The program commenced with a warm welcome of the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. The divine atmosphere was further enhanced with the soulful renditions of Saraswati Vandana and Ganesh Vandana, invoking blessings for success and prosperity.
In her address, Principal Aparana Kohli reflected on the school's achievements over the past year and its commitment to fostering holistic education. She said, "Our theme, Anurakt, resonates deeply with the values of passion and commitment that define our school community." Adding to this she also read the annual report in which she highlighted the efforts made by the CBSE toppers of class X and XII. She also added the school's extension towards the cricket ground. The school has made its own new cricket ground in 11 acers area which will lead to the perfection of our budding cricketers. The school is also very soon opening its robotics lab. Our school has also taken a step forward in launching its new basketball court. The chief guest, Surinder Choudhary, Deputy Chief Minister J & K was felicitated for his valuable contributions to society, and in his inspiring speech, he applauded the efforts of the school in nurturing young minds and emphasized the importance of cultural and educational events in shaping the future.
The event also celebrated the achievements of students during the Achievers' Felicitation Ceremony, recognizing their hard work and dedication in the field of sports. The highlight of the evening was the thematic play, Anurakt, which captivated the audience with its powerful storytelling and vibrant performances, showcasing the students' talent and creativity. The play represented the importance of the guidance of our parents in our life and how we should not take it for granted. It was not only a lesson for the children but for the parents as well as in what importance does communication hold between the relationship of parents and their children. Along the play, there were different groups of children depicting dances in their sad and happy emotions. The play concluded with everyone reunited, reaffirming their commitment to live together as one supportive family." The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by School's Head Boy and Head Girl, and the rendition of the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and unity.
