J&K Fencing Association holds selection trials

JAMMU, Dec 13: The J&K Fencing Association (JKFA) organized selection trials for the 35th Senior National Fencing Championship at the Fencing Hall, M.A. Stadium, Jammu. Over 70 fencers from various districts, including Jammu, Ramban, Samba, Poonch, Doda, Udhampur, and Reasi, participated. This included 15 fencers who have represented India in international competitions. The selected fencers will compete in the Senior National Fencing Championship, scheduled for December 31, 2024, to January 3, 2025, in Kannur, Kerala. This championship serves as a qualifying event for the 38th National Games, scheduled for January 28 to February 14, 2025, in Uttarakhand.
The selection trials were supervised by the J&K Sports Council and conducted by a committee of experts from the J&K Fencing Association, including several experienced fencers and coaches.
