JAMMU, Dec 13: PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1 Jammu celebrated the 62nd KVS Foundation Day with great enthusiasm. The event commemorated the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalayas on December 15, 1963, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. This year's theme, "Honour the Past While Creating the Future," emphasized the mission of nurturing values, fostering educational excellence, and shaping responsible citizens.
The celebrations began with a Tilak Ceremony and a bouquet presentation by the youngest students from Balvatika, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by esteemed guests and alumni. Students showcased India's diverse cultural heritage through captivating performances.
Alumni and retired staff shared heartfelt memories and inspiring experiences from their time at KV No.1 Jammu. Mementos were presented to the guests as a token of appreciation.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Sudha Gautam, PGT Maths. Under the guidance of Vice Principal Akash Gupta, the program was both inspirational and memorable for all attendees. |
