GDC Ramban hosts Awareness Workshop on Mission YUVA

RAMBAN, Dec 13: Government Degree College (GDC) Ramban, in collaboration with the J&K Department of Labour and Employment, organized a one-day awareness workshop on Mission YUVA - Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan under the patronage of Principal Prof. Archana Kaul. The workshop, attended by a large number of students and faculty members, aimed at raising awareness about youth development opportunities, skill enhancement, and entrepreneurship.
Key figures including Sh. Pawan Kumar (JKAS), Special Secretary, Labour and Employment, Sh. Roshan Lal (JKAS), Additional District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Ganesh Kumar, Deputy Director of Statistics and Evaluation, Ramban, and Dr. Vishal Sharma, Nodal Officer for Mission YUVA in Higher Education, participated in the event.
The event began with a welcome address by Prof. Archana Kaul, who highlighted the importance of youth engagement in skill development programs. Sh. Pawan Kumar emphasized the government's commitment to empowering the youth of J&K through various schemes offering financial aid, training, and entrepreneurship opportunities. He discussed Mission YUVA in detail, encouraging students to take full advantage of the program.
Sh. Roshan Lal assured the students that the district administration would support youth-centered initiatives and ensure the success of such programs. Sh. Ganesh Kumar shared key statistics related to education and employment, urging students to explore entrepreneurship. Dr. Vishal Sharma elaborated on the significance of skill development in shaping professional futures and how Mission YUVA can be a catalyst for youth empowerment.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Raj Kumar Gupta, the College Nodal Officer for Mission YUVA, recognizing the contributions of all speakers and participants. The workshop served as a significant step in educating students about the resources and opportunities available for their personal and professional growth.
