Kavinder accuses INDIA Bloc parties of disrupting Parliament

JAMMU, Dec 13: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, today strongly criticized the INDIA bloc parties for their continued disruptions in Parliament, accusing them of deliberately preventing the legislative body from functioning. He emphasized that such tactics were detrimental to the democratic process and reflected poorly on the opposition's commitment to the nation's progress.
"The INDIA bloc parties have shown a complete disregard for democratic norms by persistently obstructing the functioning of Parliament. Instead of engaging in meaningful debate and discourse, they are choosing to disrupt proceedings, causing unnecessary delays and hindrances to the nation's progress," he said in a statement issued here today.
The former deputy Chief Minister criticized the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, condemning his recent manner of holding protests, which he termed as "undignified and unbecoming of an opposition leader." He highlighted that such actions were not in the interest of the people and the democratic process, but rather reflected a lack of constructive leadership.
"Rahul Gandhi's approach to protests is nothing short of theatrical, devoid of any genuine concern for the people. His actions fail to reflect the maturity expected from a national leader," he said and asked the opposition to adopt a more responsible and effective approach to expressing dissent, one that contributes to the betterment of the nation rather than hindering its progress.
The senior BJP leader said that some people carrying the Constitution in their pockets but they have worked tirelessly to tarnish its image. He emphasized that unlike the Congress, the BJP has always respected the Constitution, never treating it as a "means to serve political interests," but instead taking "great pains to protect it."
"Congress has turned completely directionless, with no clear vision or purpose. It is the BJP that has consistently upheld the integrity of the Constitution and ensured its sanctity," he added.
He also underscored the inherent weaknesses within the INDIA Bloc, describing it as a transient alliance formed solely for opportunistic gains. "The INDIA Bloc is not a stable force but a collection of parties bound together by their common goal of opposing the government, without any cohesive vision or strategy for the country's future," he added.
