Early Times Report

Ramgarh, Dec 13: The National Campaign Against Drug Abuse (NCORD) Cell of Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Geetanjali Andotra, organized an impactful Open Forum on “Nasha Mukti” (drug de-addiction). Held as part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), the event aimed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encourage proactive measures to combat addiction.
The forum facilitated focused discussions by organizing separate groups for boys and girls, allowing for open and candid conversations. Students actively participated, sharing their perspectives on the alarming rise of drug abuse among youth, its devastating health impacts, and strategies for prevention. Discussions emphasized the importance of education, personal responsibility, and community support in addressing this critical issue. The event, overseen by NCORD convener Prof. Brahm Dutt, received enthusiastic feedback from students, who appreciated the interactive format and found the insights shared to be motivating and informative. Faculty members including Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Mr. Ashok Kumar (PTI), Dr. Shivali Panjgotra, Dr. Susheel Kumar, Ms. Priya Sharma, Dr. Neeraj Bargotra, and Mr. Darpan Malhotra also actively participated, contributing their expertise to the discussions.
This Open Forum stands as a testament to GDC Ramgarh’s commitment to fostering a drug-free community and empowering students with the knowledge and tools to combat substance abuse effectively.
