Thannamandi, Dec. 13: Career Counseling Cell in collaboration with The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Government Degree College Thannamandi held an interactive session on career advancement with Controller, JK Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE), Prof. G.R. Verma, as part of Viksit Bharat @2047 Abhiyan here today.
In the highly insightful session organized under the patronage Prof. (Dr.) Farooq Ahmed, Principal of the College, Prof. G.R. Verma, who was Chief Guest on the occasion, explained various Career opportunities within BOPEE, providing students with a comprehensive overview of the board’s structure and its role in professional entrance examinations. He highlighted various aspects of career planning, elaborating on the current vacancies, future possibilities, and programs available under BOPEE.
Principal Prof. Farooq Ahmad applauded the Career Counseling Cell for its initiative and reiterated the importance of such sessions in guiding students towards their professional goals.
The session aimed to enhance students’ understanding of the career landscape and motivate them to explore opportunities in professional fields associated with the board. Prof. Verma’s interactive approach ensured active participation and engagement from the attendees, leaving a lasting impression on their aspirations.
The event concluded with a lively question-and-answer session, where Prof. Verma addressed students’ queries with practical advice, making the program both informative and inspiring.
Earlier, Dr. Ashaq Malik, Convener, Career Counseling Cell in the college introduced the audience about the program and conducted the proceedings of program whereas Dr. Nazar Ul Islam, HOD, Islamic Studies presented the formal vote of thanks to the audience.
Prominent among the participants present on the occasion were Dr Naseem Ahmad, Dr Abdul Haq Naimi, Dr Fatima, Dr Athar Raina, Prof Rumy Dar, Prof Rizwana, Dr Arshaq, Dr Mudasir Gori, Dr Zubair and Dr. Wahid Qazi.
