KVK Reasi Concludes 15-Day Training Course for students

Reasi, Dec 13: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) concluded 15 days internship/training course under NEP-2020 for Govt. General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi students here today at Govt. General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi. The course was organised under the dynamic stewardship of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. B.N. Triptahi and able guidance of Director Extension (DE), Prof. Amrish Vaid of SKUAST-J. Chief Scientist & Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi, Dr. Banarsi Lal was the Chief Guest on the occasion.Principal of Govt. General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi, Prof. Mazammal Hussain warmly welcomed the Chief Guest and thanked KVK Reasi for organising such a useful internship/training course under NEP-2020. He spoke on various vocations in agriculture and guided students on entrepreneurship development in agriculture. While speaking during the valedictory session, Dr. Banarsi spoke on the commercial agriculture and discussed on the income and employment opportunities in agriculture and allied sectors.
He discussed on hydroponics technology, organic and natural farming,mushroom cultivation etc. and said that students should avail the benefits of such types of useful programmes to upgrade their skills and knowledge. He stressed on entrepreneurship development in agriculture and discussed on innovative technologies for more farm profits. Ravi Kant Sharma, Head Physics, Govt. Degree College Reasi appreciated the efforts of KVK Reasi for upgrading the knowledge and skills of students in agriculture and allied sectors and asked the students to avail the benefits of such types of significant courses.The proceedings of the programme were carried by Prof. Romesh Kumar Atri, Head Botany, Govt.Degree College Reasi.He thanked KVK Reasi for guiding the students on innovations in agriculture and allied sectors. During the programme, participation certificates were also awarded to the students. Dr. Naveen Kumar, Asstt. Professor of Govt. Degree College Reasi was also present during the programme. The programme was concluded by Prof. Ravi Kant Sharma with the formal vote of thanks.
