J&K Shooters Flagged Off for 67th National Shooting Championship Competitions

Jammu, Dec 14: A screening for J&K shooters selected for the 67th National Shooting Championship Competitions 2024 was held today at MA Stadium, Jammu, organized by the screening committee of J&K Sports Council. The competition is being held by the National Rifle Association of India. Rifle shooting events will take place at the MP Shooting Academy, Bhopal, from December 15 to 31, 2024, while Pistol events are scheduled at the Dr. Karni Singh shooting ranges in New Delhi from December 13, 2024, to January 5, 2025.
A contingent of 61 shooters from Jammu and Kashmir will participate in the prestigious competition. The contingent was flagged off by Chairman JKRA Sh. Kuldeep Singh Jamwal and CEO JKRA Sh. Sharat Chander Singh, with Divisional Sports Officer Jammu Sh. Baljinder Singh Balli, Manager MA Stadium Sh. Suraj Bhan, Technical Committee Chairman JKRA Sh. Rajesh Virdhy, and others in attendance.
Among the shooters representing J&K are Rumit Singh, R U Gupta, Shamsher Singh, Himanshu Gupta, Utkarsh Khajuria, Vishal Sharma, and many others.
Patron in Chief JKRA, Sh. Dilbag Singh (IPS DGP J&K Retd.), and President JKRA Sh. SS Sodhi wished the shooters good luck for their upcoming challenges at the Nationals.
