RAJOURI, Dec 14: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) under overall supervision of ARI & Trainings Department and in coordination with District Administrations through District Industry Centre, Rajouri organized a counselling cum awareness camp at Government Higher Secondary School, Rajouri and Nowshera to aware the aspiring candidates/students about the Entrance Examinations/Counsellings Schedule for admission to various professional courses to be conducted by J&K BOPEE in UT of J&K for the session 2025-26.
The sole purpose of conducting this is to create awareness among students and general public about the different professional courses whose exam and counseling conducted J&K BOPEE. To tackle the issues of low enrolment and vacant seats in various Govt./Private Colleges/Institutions of UT of J&K due to lack of information and awareness among the students about various professional courses, eligibility criteria, admission processes and their future prospects is the main aim of this awareness camp. BOPEE officials and experts interacted with students, addressed their concerns and provided insights on the benefits of pursuing professional education within the state.
The Camp highlighted the benefits of studying in our own colleges of UT of J&K, including minimum fees as compare to other states outside J&K, and better job opportunities. It also emphasized the importance of filling up of vacant seats to avoid depletion of resources and opportunities available in various Govt/Private Colleges/Institutions of J&K.
Prof. (Dr.) Minu Mahajan, Chairperson JKBOPEE in her message urged the students of the district Rajouri to avail the maximum benefits of resources provided by J&K BOPEE by participating in Entrance Examinations and Counsellings conducted by BOPEE for various courses of their own choice and interest in the upcoming academic session. She conveyed through these camps that the Board is fully committed to provide every type of assistance to various stakeholders to fill up all the seats and avoid depletion of the resources and opportunities available in various Govt/Private Colleges/Institutions of J&K.
Prof. Gurvinder Raj Verma, Controller of Examinations, J&K BOPEE expressed various concerns regarding students opting for colleges outside the UT of J&K and are facing difficulties due to lack of awareness of professional courses among the students. He apprised students about available courses, seats intake, basic qualification, registration processes, allotment of seats, counseling schedule and various other aspects of admission process in various professional courses conducted by J&K BOPEE.
The camp initially was started from Government Higher Secondary School, Rajouri with the introductory remarks given by Farid Ahmad Kohli General Manager District Industry Centre, Rajouri wherein he gave the details of the awareness program and advised the students to participate in these types of programs in large number.
