Early Times Report SAMBA, Dec 14: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of SPPND Government Degree College, Samba, successfully concluded a Basic Computer Course for the non-teaching staff, reinforcing the college's commitment to skill training as a key best practice. This initiative aimed to strengthen digital literacy and enhance technical proficiency among the administrative staff, equipping them to meet the demands of a rapidly digitizing world. The course was conducted in two phases: the first group underwent training from December 2 to December 7, and the second from December 9 to December 14, 2024. A total of 28 participants, divided into groups of 14, were trained in fundamental computer skills, basic software applications, and techniques to optimize daily administrative tasks. The Valedictory Ceremony, held on December 14, was presided over by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri, who distributed certificates to the participants. In her address, she commended the non-teaching staff for their enthusiasm for professional growth and underscored the importance of such skill-enhancement initiatives in achieving institutional excellence. Resource persons-Akanksha Bali, Ria Shama, Priyanka Deonia, and Rakesh Kumar from the Department of Computer Applications, immaculately conducted the sessions. The program was coordinated by Dr. Ramandeep Kaur (Co-Convener, IQAC) and Dr. Virender Singh, with support from the Department of Computer Applications, led by Dr. Neha Jain. This initiative highlights SPPND GDC Samba's dedication to fostering a culture of continuous learning, ensuring its administrative staff is well-equipped to contribute to the college's digital transformation efforts. |
