UDHAMPUR, Dec 14: Continuing its #waragainstdrugabuse, District Police Udhampur arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered 6.14 grams of heroin (chitta) from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Udhampur.
A police team from PS Udhampur, led by its SHO, was on patrol duty when they apprehended a suspicious individual at Omara Morh, Udhampur. The individual, later identified as Tarun Gupta, S/O Ved Parkash, resident of W.No 01, Gujjar Hostel, Udhampur, tried to walk away after noticing the police team. Upon frisking, 6.14 grams of heroin (chitta) was recovered from his possession.
A case under FIR No. 499/2024 U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at PS Udhampur. Further investigation is underway. |
