UDHAMPUR, Dec 14: Continuing its efforts to curb illegal mining and transportation of minerals, District Police Udhampur has seized one vehicle involved in the illegal transportation of construction materials in the jurisdiction of Police Station Basantgarh.
A police team from PS Basantgarh, led by its SHO, seized the vehicle from the Ponara Zero Morh area. The vehicle, bearing registration number JK14F-8607, was found illegally transporting sand and gravel from riverbeds.
A case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at PS Basantgarh, and further investigation is underway. |
