POONCH, Dec 14: The Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, today held a meeting with district-level officers to assess preparations for the Republic Day Celebration-2025. Deputy Commissioner meticulously reviewed all aspects of the upcoming celebration, including: Security Arrangements, Venue decoration, Public Address System, Seating Arrangements, Fire Safety, Cultural Programs, Parade Preparations, Refreshments, Illumination of Government Buildings and SK Bridge, Media Coverage, Shahnai Vadan etc.
The main function will held at the sports stadium, where the Chief Guest will unfurl the national flag and take the salute from the march past.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of launching a cleanliness drive around the venue and ensuring uninterrupted power and water supply on the day of the event. A full dress rehearsal is scheduled for January 24, 2025.
The Information Department has been tasked with ensuring a faultless public address system and extensive media coverage, starting with traditional Shahnai music. The Deputy Commissioner has also directed executive engineers to make arrangements for barricading, seating, drinking water supply, and uninterrupted power on the celebration day. Provisions for ambulance, fire tender, security personnel, and adequate manpower were also discussed. |
