15th State-Level Speedball Championship concludes

JAMMU, Dec 14: The 15th State-Level Speedball Championship, organized by J&K Sports Speedball, concluded successfully at Sukh Sagar Bhawan. The two-day event witnessed the participation of over 500 players from schools across districts like Samba, Kathua, and Jammu.
The closing ceremony featured Sh. Vikram Randhawa, MLA Gandhi Nagar, as the Chief Guest, with Mrs. Pooja Malhotra, Founder Patron of JKSSB, presiding over the event. Special guests included Asha Wali, Principal of Kinder Nest Playway School, and Munish Gupta, Vice President of the association. Other dignitaries like S. Ajeet Singh Soni (MD, DRS Gandhi Nagar), Sr. Sucha Singh (Event Director, JKSBA), and Subedar Karamchand, along with association members, also graced the occasion.
Vikram Randhawa commended the association's efforts in organizing the championship and providing a platform for youth to showcase their talents. Medals and certificates were distributed among the winners.
"Rich Harvest School bagged the overall championship trophy.
"Best players hailed from schools such as SD Tara Puri Public High School, May Fair Higher Secondary School, New Era Mother High School, Shiksha Niketan High School, Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shubh Memorial International School, KB Public School, Global Convent School, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, and Mount Litera Zee School.
"Officials for the matches included Renu Devi, Sahil Janjua, Sandeep Sharma, Shivang, Suchit Kumar, Sahil Kaith, and others.
The medal winners from this championship will represent the state in the National Speedball Championship, scheduled for January 2025. The grand event was hosted by Madam Vanshika Manhas, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Pooja Malhotra.
