| Cyber Cell Jammu recovers Rs 5.27 lakh in online fraud cases | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 17: The Cyber Cell of District Police Jammu has successfully solved multiple online fraud cases, recovering a total amount of Rs 5,27,321 from fraudsters. The recovered amount includes funds lost by victims through deceptive online trading schemes and fake credit messages sent by cybercriminals.
According to officials, the victims approached the Cyber Cell after being cheated in separate incidents. Two cases involved fraudulent trading investments, while the other two pertained to losses incurred through fake credit notifications. Acting swiftly on the complaints, the Cyber Cell initiated prompt investigations and utilized its skilled personnel and advanced technological tools to trace and recover the stolen amount.
"The recovery of Rs 5,27,321 demonstrates our commitment to protecting citizens from the growing menace of cybercrime," said a senior police official. The official also praised the Cyber Cell's professionalism and expertise in handling such cases effectively. The District Police Jammu assured the public that they remain dedicated to combating cybercriminals and urged citizens to report any suspicious online activities promptly.
