SAMBA, Dec 17: Continuing its drive against absconders and criminals, the Jammu and Kashmir Police successfully apprehended a fugitive who had been evading arrest for the past 14 years.
A police team from Vijaypur, led by SHO PS Vijaypur under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur and SSP Samba, arrested Bhag Ali, son of Mohd Sadiq, resident of Chak Bagla, Vijaypur. The accused was wanted in connection with FIR No. 79/2011 under sections 341, 323, 325, 147, and 148 RPC registered at Police Station Vijaypur.
After committing the crime in 2011, Bhag Ali had been on the run, avoiding legal proceedings. Following his arrest, the absconder was produced before the court, and the warrant under section 512 CrPC issued against him was executed.
