Daily wagers workers union formed under banner of BMS

JAMMU, Dec 18: A meeting of Daily wagers workers union a unit of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh held at state BMS office Prade Jammu and discussed the burning issues / demands of Daily wagers who are being deprived from the years together and some of them are even attaining the superannuation age of 60 years and are being sending home without paying even single penny as there is no any provision has been made for retiremental benefits
Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh alleged that since lot of home work had been done by the Govt. regarding the daily wagers documentation etc. but no any specific action has been taken by the Govt. for regularization so for nor pending wages has been released so for, it is pertinent to mention here that a delegation of BMS had met with the Hon'ble Home minister at new Delhi and all these issues has been brought in to the notice of central Govt. but state Govt. has not taken up this important issues with central Govt. BMS demanded that
daily wagers must be regularized at least prior to 2005 be made regular and till than SRO 520 be implemented without any further delay
That the daily wagers those who are being disengaged must be given Rs 10 lakhs as retiremental benefit,
Pending wages be also released
That immediately all the statuary provisions under social security Act i.e. PF and Gratuity Act be also implemented without any delay
That even Division Bench of High Court of J&K has also ordered that the employees who have been engaged from 1994 to 6/11/2001 are entitled to SRO 64. And the employees who are appointed after that are entitled to SRO 520. BMS is of considered view that as J&K High Court division bench decision pronounced in 2018 must be implemented in letter and spirit for addressing this issue confronting Daily Wagers across J&K. The meeting was held under the leadership of Ashok Choudhary organizing Secretary BMS along with senior leader Harbans Choudhary, Chuni lal and prominent daily wagers from all the district were present , Ravi Hans a senior daily wagers leader Pooja Sharma and Rakesh Kumar from Jammu, , Rajesh Kumar and Irshad Ahmed from Kishtwar, Ravi Bushan, Riaz Ahmed and Ramesh Kumar from Doda, Sajid Aslam Qazi from Bhaderwah, Anil Kumar and Subash Chander From Udhampur, Pawan Kumar and Bishan Raina from Reasi, Ranjeet Singh and Yashpal Singh from Samba, Sanjeev Kumar From Rajouri, Birbal Jalmeria and Vikram Mangotra from Billawar district Kathua were present in the meeting.
