Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 18: In a solemn ceremony at the Mishriwala area of Kanachak, Jammu Police led by SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh, JKPS, honored the memory of Martyr Constable Greywal Singh, who laid down his life during a terrorist attack on the DIG RP Range Office in Rajouri on December 18, 2003. The tribute event, organized by the martyr's family, was attended by senior police officials, including SP Rural Jammu, SDPO Domana, DySP DAR Jammu, and SHOs of Kanachak and Domana Police Stations, alongside 200-250 prominent citizens. Addressing the gathering, SSP Joginder Singh lauded the courage and dedication of Martyr Greywal Singh, recipient of the Police Medal for Gallantry, describing his sacrifice as a beacon of inspiration. He assured the martyr's family of the department's steadfast support and commitment to their welfare, announcing that the proposal to name a local school after the martyr is under priority consideration. The ceremony featured a ceremonial Shok Shastra (Armed Salute) and floral tributes by dignitaries, police officers, and civilians. SSP Jammu also emphasized the sacrifices made by Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel to ensure peace and security in the region.
