JAMMU, Dec 18: Elite Public High School marked its 24th Annual Day and Prize Distribution Function with grandeur at the General Zorawar Singh Auditorium, celebrating the theme "Rainbow of Relations." Over 400 students enthralled the audience with their extraordinary performances, displaying remarkable talent and creativity.
The event was graced by prominent dignitaries, including Sham Lal Sharma, MLA Jammu North, as the chief guest; Pawan Kumar Sharma, JKPS Superintendent of Police, as the Guest of Honour; and Mohinder Kumar, Ex-Councillor and Corporator of Udhywalla, as the Special Guest. The Chairperson, Mala Sharma, and Principal, Sanjay Sharma, were also present to celebrate this significant milestone.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by Rajni Khosa, Vice Principal of the school, who set an inspiring tone for the proceedings. The Managing Director, Vasudha Mahajan, presented the School Annual Report for 2023, highlighting outstanding achievements in academics and co-curricular activities, reflecting the institution's commitment to holistic education.
Addressing the audience, Sham Lal Sharma appreciated the theme "Rainbow of Relations" as a true reflection of the harmony and diversity that should define our society. He emphasized the importance of nurturing relationships-whether familial, social, or cultural-as they are the foundation of a progressive community. Sharma commended the school for choosing such a meaningful theme and for instilling values of respect, empathy, and collaboration among its students.
Sharma also spoke passionately about the importance of leading a qualitative life guided by moral ethics and strong educational foundations. He emphasized that education is not just about academic achievements but about building character, instilling discipline, and preparing students for life's challenges. He urged the students to embrace honesty, hard work, and compassion as they strive for personal and professional growth, noting that these values are the pillars of a meaningful and fulfilling life.
Sharma further lauded the efforts of the management, teachers, and students for their dedication to both academic and extracurricular excellence. He highlighted that the vibrant performances on stage were a testament to the school's commitment to fostering creativity and confidence in its students. He expressed his belief that initiatives like this not only shape well-rounded individuals but also strengthen the social fabric of our nation.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Amrita Koul, In-Charge of Veerta House, who commended the students' efforts and expressed gratitude to the esteemed guests for their presence and encouragement. The celebration ended on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, leaving a lasting impression of unity and pride.
