12/18/2024 10:11:09 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 18: Gaurav Gupta, Former General Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu, today met with Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar and discussed the pressing issues faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir due to the Gair Mumkin Khad.
During the meeting, Gaurav Gupta highlighted the challenges being faced by the residents, including the procedural hurdles and delays in obtaining necessary clearances. He emphasized the need for an expeditious resolution to alleviate the hardships of the people.
The Divisional Commissioner assured that the government is actively addressing the issue. He revealed that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is soon to be signed with the National Institute of Hydrological and Survey of India, which will provide scientific and sustainable solutions to the long-pending problem. "This MoU will pave the way for resolving the Gair Mumkin Khad issue once and for all," the Divisional Commissioner stated.
Notably, Gaurav Gupta has consistently raised the issue of Gair Mumkin Khad with senior government functionaries over the years, advocating for practical solutions to mitigate the difficulties faced by citizens.
Gaurav Gupta said, "The Gair Mumkin Khad policy has posed significant challenges for the common people. While the policy aimed at providing clarity regarding state land, the implementation has led to unnecessary delays and complications. I appreciate the efforts of the administration in taking concrete steps, and I hope the upcoming MoU will bring much-needed relief to the people of Jammu and Kashmir."
He also praised the Divisional Commissioner for his proactive efforts in addressing the Gair Mumkin Khad issue, acknowledging his commitment to finding a comprehensive and lasting solution to this long-standing problem.
He further added, "I will continue to engage with the authorities to ensure that the implementation of such policies is streamlined and people-centric, reflecting the true spirit of governance.
