Arvind urges Govt to ensure regular drinking water supply in Jammu West | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 18: Arvind Gupta, MLA Jammu West, today called upon the government to take immediate measures to ensure a regular supply of drinking water to the residents of Jammu West. He was speaking during a meeting convened by the Minister for Jal Shakti Department to address water supply issues in the region. In the meeting, MLA Vikram Randhawa and officials of Jal Shakti Department were present. Highlighting the challenges faced by the people, Arvind Gupta emphasized the urgent need to streamline the drinking water supply network to avoid inconvenience, particularly during peak demand seasons. He expressed concern over the defunct overhead tanks in the constituency and urged the department to make them operational at the earliest. "The proper upkeep and modernization of the PHE water stations is critical for ensuring uninterrupted water supply," he asserted, adding that delays in addressing these issues would only exacerbate public grievances. The senior BJP leader stressed upon adopting innovative measures and timely interventions to meet the increasing demand for potable water. The senior BJP leader reiterated his commitment to raising the concerns of Jammu West residents and assured them that he would continue to press for infrastructural upgrades and efficient service delivery. |
