JAMMU, Dec 19: Sant Mela Singh College of Education, Digiana, Jammu, organized an insightful Extension Lecture on the topic "National Education Policy 2020 - An Overview" in the college premises. The program commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Prof. Charanjeet Kour.
The resource person for the event, Dr. Anuradha Goswami, Assistant Professor, Directorate of Distance Education, University of Jammu, presented an engaging lecture on the features of the National Education Policy 2020. She highlighted that NEP 2020 is a transformative and progressive document aimed at making Indian education more inclusive, holistic, and multidisciplinary. Dr. Goswami emphasized the Policy's potential to dismantle rigid educational boundaries, offering students the flexibility to explore and learn subjects of their choice. She further acquainted the students and staff with key initiatives under NEP 2020 that aim to enhance the employability of India's emerging workforce across various educational levels.
Dr. Kiran Luthra, Principal of the College, presided over the occasion and emphasized the importance of such academic discussions. In her address, she remarked, "Such programs provide an effective platform to exchange ideas, share knowledge, and enhance the academic ambiance of the institution."
