UDHAMPUR, Dec 21: Department of Computer Application, Government College for Women(GCW) Udhampur organized a one day Awareness cum Practical Session on “Enhancing Academic Excellence with Cloud Applications Tools, Tips and Techniques” for the students of B.A/B.Sc Semester 1st under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell.
The event took place at GCW Udhampur, bringing together students, educators, and technology enthusiasts to explore how cloud computing revolutionizes learning experiences. The lecture focused on the practical applications of widely accessible Google tools such as Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Google Keep, Classroom, and more, to streamline academic activities.
Prof. (Dr.) Nalini Pathania, Principal GCW Udhampur, appreciated the department for conducting such an awareness programme. The program started with a welcome note by Dr. Preeti Dubey, Head Department of Computer Application, who briefed about the purpose of the awareness lecture and highlighted the importance of such activities.
The lecture, conducted by Prof. Rachna Bharti, emphasized the importance of leveraging Google applications. The lecture covered a range of topics, including Practical use cases of Google Keep for note-taking and task tracking, leveraging Google Meet and Chat for effective communication, Advanced features of Google Drive for seamless file management, Techniques to collaborate effectively using Google Docs, Sheets and Slides and Tips for optimizing Gmail and Google Calendar for better time management.
