| Solider commits suicide in J&K | | |
Srinagar Apr 06- A solider ended his life by shooting himself with his service weapon at 36 RR Camp in Kokernag area of South Kashmir.
Informed sources said that a RR Jawan posted with 36 RR-D Coy at Kokernag shot himself with his service weapon during the wee hours today.
Identified as Mohammad Kartik (14677052-K) was found in pool of blood by his collogues inside the duty post and was shifted to hospital where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
Police has registered a case in this regard, while army authorities have ordered a court of inquiry into the incident
Meanwhile, a civilian working with 67 BSF died in hospital after a mild heart attack.
Identified as Manga Sheikh aged 56 years son of Mohammad Sharief resident of Dani Karnah was working as porter with 67 BSF died at Tangdar. Proceedings under ection174 Cr PC have been initiated by Police and the body has been handed over to the family of the deceased.
