| Divisional Consumer Protection Forum settles 40 cases awards Rs 80 lakh as compensation | | |
Srinagar, September 22 –The Divisional Consumer Protection Forum comprising District and Sessions Judge Mr Rashid Ahmad Lone and Mr. M.I. Kirmani conducted 3-day on spot trial of the insurance claims of affected people of last year’s October 8 earthquake belonging to Karnah sub-division.
Forty cases were settled and Rs 80 lakh awarded as compensation in favour of the affected people.
Advocates, representatives of insurance companies and other officers were present on the occasion. |
